ABOUT US
The Community Association of Georgeville(CAG) traces its origins back to 1904, when 26 year-round and seasonal residents came together to acquire and develop land intended to become a park at the heart of the village. Over time, this collective effort led to the creation of spaces dedicated to community gatherings and public activities.
The Murray Memorial Centre, now central to the Association’s activities, was donated by the Murray family following the closure of the school in 1960. Rich in history, it remains an essential gathering place for the community.
The CAG is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of several important spaces, including the Murray Memorial Centre, the Village Green, the cenotaph, the lookout, the tennis court, playground equipment and the gazebo. These facilities help make Georgeville an accessible, vibrant, and attractive environment for all.

The Association strives to maintain and enhance the cultural and community vitality of Georgeville. It aims to foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment while preserving the village’s unique character, history, and traditions.
Its ambition is to help make Georgeville a thriving and inspiring community in the Eastern Townships, both today and for future generations.
Our Mission
As a non-profit organization governed by Part III of the Quebec Companies Act, the CAG works for the benefit of the entire community.
Its mission is to:

promote the social, cultural, and recreational well-being of residents;

organize events and activities that bring people together throughout the year;
